Shall be a person actively engaged and employed in the profession of seed testing and must be a Registered Seed Technologist (RST), Registered Genetic Technologist (RGT), Certified Genetic Technologist (CGT), Certified Purity Technologist (CPT), and/or Certified Viability Technologist (CVT). The Organization will recognize Accredited Seed Analysts (all crop groups) from Canada laboratories as equivalent to RST, CPT, and CVT.
Governmental Lab Member
Shall be any US or Canadian seed laboratory of a government agency and/or institution and must employ at least one (1) RST or a combination of one (1) CPT and one (1) CVT. Each Governmental member must designate one (1) representative for voting purposes. Designated voting representative shall be a member in good standing (Article III, E). Non-member proxies are not allowed.

A person training to be a Registered or Certified member or an individual with an interest in seed technology.

Associate Members shall include persons aspiring to Registered or Certified Members or person with an interest in seed technology. Associate members are entitle to the Annual Proceedings, member updates, and are invited to serve on Society committees. Associate members may access the SCST Library and Seed Library. Member privileges are available only to the person approved and are not transferable.

Entitled to cast one (1) vote on Organization matters only and will not have a vote on the Rules and shall not be entitled to hold elective office. They shall be entitled to all the other privileges of the Organization.
